So I have just finished the first new batch of the delicious Raw Cocoa butter. It´s made as a body butter, but actually you can use it for you face and hair as well. Its very light in texture, and penetrates the skin with ease. Perfect as a summer skin moisturizer! It contains raw, organic and fair-trade unfiltered cocoa butter, in a natural light brown color! So rich in antioxidants! Other ingredients are: Organic shea butter, virgin coconut oil, jojoba, almond and raw honey, so you actually might wanna eat it. No essential oils added, but it has a natural tropical smell of cocoa. Enjoy the sun! Green blessings
We all went to the country side this weekend. The weather was sunny but cool. It was full moon the first night of arrival. The perfect time to gather some of the herbs for my olive oil infused salves. In the garden, and outside the forest surrounding us, there are plenty of nettle patches. They are already pretty big and so strong that I still had tingling hands after picking them with my bare hands. I also got a lot leaves of Plantago Lanceolata for the plantain salve. I am currently experimenting with a warming stimulating salve made out of olive oil infused pine needles and sprouts. I already made one for my family and its a great success. It smells nice, it heals, it is warming. Experimenting with simplicity, is my favorite right now. Sort of going back to basics, testing recipes with a minimum of ingredients, and from that perspective, my first pine needle salve was born. Other yummy herbs i got, was dandelion leaves for salves, salads and herbal vinegars for the family. Some catnip and Sweet Woodruff (Galium Odoratum) was also harvested for vinegars and sirups and I cant wait to taste it all! On a more exotic note, I can reveal that I am also preparing for a new chocolate smelling (and tasting!) body butter, made with an unfiltered, organic fair trade cocoa butter. It's so delicious, the only problem is that you might wanna eat it ... I will keep you posted as soon as its ready! Happy spring!
I just attended this amazing course in Herbal Energetics, by herbalists Kiva Rose and John Gallagher. I really enjoy these inspiring, sense-based lessons, that I experience every day! It reminds me why I started working with herbs, and why I continue to walk the herbal path. Thanks!

I would be delighted to meet you this weekend at the Night Market at Bremen Theater. I will be bringing my beautiful Queens, Sheba and Esther plus some nourishing butters for your winter legs. See you!
I started the New Year making a batch of Queen of Sheba Beauty Salves. I use it during the winter time as a facial rescue remedy. Based on Olive Oil infused Elder flowers and St. Johns Wort, and fortified with extracts of Schisandra Berries, St. Johns Wort Flower and Elder Flowers, and organic Shea Butter, this is a rich, nourishing, antioxidant cream, excellent for mature skin, night cream and protective to your skin during winter times. This new formula has even more Schisandra in. Enjoy and stay warm!

I will be happy to hear from you. Have a great December an stay warm! Ria
_ I was mixing some herbal teas the other day. One of them was Hibiscus, also known as Sorrel, which made me remember a recipe that I really love, and want to share with you. It's a drink made from the Sorrel flower. It can be made and enjoyed immediately after cooling down. It serves as a beautiful refreshment with its strong, red color and is good for your insides on a warm Christmas night. If you do not drink everything right away, you can choose to ferment it naturally, and then you have a beautiful Christmas wine. Traditionally, this drink has been enjoyed as a Christmas wine in warmer tropical regions, however, as the Sorrel is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, and the added ginger stimulates your circulation, this also makes for a perfect drink during our cold, dark, Nordic winter season. With joy!
6 oz or 178 gr. Dried Sorrel 12 whole pieces of All Spice/Pimento Fresh Ginger, grated. I would use at least 3,3 oz or 100 grams. For a milder version, use less. 10 cups of water 1.5 cups of sugar (I prefer to use honey)
Boil the water with the All Spice/Pimento. Add the Grated ginger after a couple of minutes. Now you can do two things: Either boil the sorrel together with the ginger and All Spice for 10 minutes, that saves you time but leaves you with less vitamins. I prefer to just turn off my boiling water when the all spice and ginger is well boiled and then add my sorrel and let it steep for at least 2 hours or until cool. Then strain, add sugar or honey and pour it on a bottle and let it cool. In case you want to ferment it, leave it in a bottle in living room temperature for about two days until it naturally carbonates. Then cool. Just make sure the bottle or container you have is not too tight, if you do make the fermentation! Just a note: When making a natural fermentation, be aware that your sorrel drink now contains small amounts of alcohol and may not be suitable for all.
Finally getting ready for tomorrow, December and winter: I just laid my hand on another December special: A nice creamy batch of lip balms. Soothing, sweet and moisturizing. Contains lots of danish honey from a small family business, organic raw shea butter, cocoa butter, bees wax, Echinacea and Calendula. bound to make your lips sweet and very kissable. 30ml, 45 kr
For the past couple of days I have been busy creating, mixing and stirring a big batch of salves, balms and creams, and I've also put together a selected blend of herbal teas and ointments. With Christmas around the corner I've created a December special; A thick, nourishing sweet smelling Marshmallow (Althea) Cream. Filled with good stuff: Organic, raw Shea, Marshmallow root, Comfrey, Peru Balsam and french lavender. Also, pictures of each individual product have been posted in the "salve" and "oils and butters" section.
Be sure to come and check out the Evening Christmas and Flea market Saturday (see flyer below). If you can't come, but want to order write me an email, and i can ship it out for you if you order before December 18th. Hope to see you!
Stay warm. Green Blessings Ria
